2023 Weingut Vollenweider Riesling Trarbacher Burgberg Kabinett, Mosel, Germany

The 2023er Trarbacher Burgberg Riesling Kabinett was made from 40-year-old vines and early harvested fruit and was fermented down to fruity- styled levels of residual sugar. It offers a very attractive and animating nose of candied lemon, fresh pineapple, minty herbs, fine spices, Conference pear, and almond. The wine proves light-weighted and playful as there is good, ripe acidity running through the palate and giving it a more off-dry than fully fruity-styled texture. The finish is straightforward and mouthwatering. This is a racy and drinking Kabinett.
