2020 Sazerac 18 Year Old Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey 750ml

To honor the 20th anniversary of Buffalo Trace Distillerys Antique Collection, the 2020 edition of Sazerac 18 year old Kentucky straight rye was released. It boasts a delightful Peppermint Pattie sweetness that’s sure to please the palate. This exceptional rye was distilled in Spring 2002 and made available in Fall 2020. Double distilled in BTD beer stills, it was aged for 18 years and 4 months in hand-picked new white oak barrels with #4 55-second charring. At a barrel strength of 90 proof, the 2020 Sazerac 18 year old rye whiskey is a blend of Minnesota rye, distiller grade #1/#2 Kentucky corn, and N. Dakota malted barley, and offers an aromatic bouquet of peppermint candies, spice, and chocolate. On the palate, it presents notes of tannins, pine, cinnamon, and decadent dark chocolate wafers.
