BACA 2018 Baca Rockpile Cats Cradle Zinfandel

The BACA portfolio includes five Zinfandels sourced from premiere California vineyards. BACA is Latin for berry. Our team sources fruit from some of Californias most notable growing regionsRussian River, Rockpile, Howell Mountain, Paso Robles, and Calistoga. Using masterful winemaking techniques that include optical sorting, exacting fermentation, and aging in French oak barrels, BACA crafts powerful wines that reflect the unique places the grapes are grown. The result is complex, charismatic Zinfandels that pair beautifully with both food and adventure.

Tasting Notes

Rustic flavors like brambly and stony arent found in your typical Zinfandel flavor spectrum. Then again, with its complex undertones of terra cotta, brambly fruit, violets, and black pepper, Cats Cradle isnt a typical Zinfandel. Its a big wine, with a sensation of opulent extract on the mid-palate and well-built tannin carries through lengthy finish.
