The DAOU Family Cuve is a powerful blend that exemplifies the Paso Robles region’s excellence with classic Bordeaux varieties. Aged for 21 months in 100% new French oak, the 2018 vintage is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with contributions of Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The signatures of this wine are an opaque purple color, toasted oak aromatics, and explosive richness on the palate. An extraordinary purity of fruit is marked by flavors of crme de cassis, black currant, licorice and ash with toasty vanilla undertones. The result is a full-bodied cuve whose tannin structure will sustain decades of aging whiel remaining fresh and elegant in the bottle.
