The Dictador Icon Reserve 20 Years is distilled from the fermentation of native “Sugar Cane Honey” – a honey-like sugar cane syrup which, unlike molasses, is obtained directly from fresh sugar cane juice. Distillation takes place partly in traditional copper alembics and partly in steel tanks, using the column distillation method. This method gives the rum a medium body and a pleasant aromatic note. Maturation takes place in American oak barrels, which ensures that all the aromas are optimally accentuated.

A special feature of Dictador rum is that it is not sweetened afterwards, as is common with many mainstream rums. Instead, it has a natural, subtle sweetness that has a wonderfully harmonious effect.

The miniature of the Dictador XO Insolent Rum offers the perfect opportunity to try it. Made from virgin sugar cane honey, it is distilled in modern stainless steel alembics. It is then matured in reused oak barrels from Jerez and Portugal, where sweet aromas caramelize into the rum and give it its complex, deep note.
