Flor de Cana, a rum rich in tradition and family-owned since 1890, is produced sustainably. In 1875, the young adventurer Alfredo Francisco Pellas Canessa left his home in Genoa, Italy, and set off for Nicaragua. There, at the foot of the San Cristobal volcano, the highest and most active volcano in Nicaragua, he discovered the perfect location for his distillery.

The fertile soil, the mineral-rich water and the hot climate of the volcano gave the rum its unique, mild taste. Today, Flor de Cana is committed to sustainability and fair trade-certified spirits and is committed to a greener future.

This exceptional rum is distilled entirely with renewable energy and matures naturally. It is aged for 19 years in small casks made from American ex-bourbon oak, which gives it its unmistakable character in this unique environment.
