The handmade gin, named after the Dutch navigator Willem Barentsz, embodies the tireless spirit of discovery of the explorer who sought a north-eastern trade route to China – the Barents Sea named after him still bears witness to his importance today. This inspiration led Michael Claessens, the creator of the gin, on numerous journeys to find the ideal ingredients for his unique distillate.

The incomparable taste is created through the use of exotic jasmine blossoms, which are incorporated into the base spirit together with juniper, orange peel, coriander seeds, almonds, licorice roots, angelica roots, cinnamon bark and iris roots. This careful selection of botanicals clearly sets the gin apart from other products and gives it a remarkable smoothness and mildness that makes it ideal for drinking.
